  1. Running Ubuntu 23.04
    I ran the command finger
    the next line shows this
    finger: /dev//seat0: No such file or directory
    followed by the other expected line

    1. Weird. I’ve never seen that before. I assume you properly installed finger. Did you try:

      finger *user_name*

      (Without the asterisks, of course.) I have no idea why that’d not work for you. Someone smarter than me may know over on linux.org, which is my go-to forum recommendation.

      Edited: I just noticed the brackets I used didn’t come through and were eaten by the formatting machine. So, I used asterisks.
